    Have you seen any impact of the ACA (Affordable Care Act) on your cancer rates or stage distribution? For instance, have you seen changes in young adult cancers as they stay on their parent’s insurance longer? What type of analysis should we be conducting to document any potential changes?

    Hello, the New Jersey Cancer Registry is working on a collaborative project with the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey to look at some of these issues. We conducted a survey among cancer patients diagnosed pre- and post-ACA and are analyzing the data now.
